The boys competition was on Sunday 11th May. Because we were National Champions last year we were a seeded team. Our first match was against Birkdale High School. In a keenly contested match we won the last game to win 3-2. Our second match was against Notre Dame High School, Sheffield. This ended in a fairly comfortable 4-1 win which meant that we progressed as group winners to the top group for the afternoon session to decide 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions. Our first match was against Elizabethan Academy, Nottingham. This was a very close affair which went to at very tight final game ending in a 21-18 victory for the opponents meaning the won 3-2. The final match was against the eventual winners Denbigh School, Milton Keynes. This proved a match too far, the boys were very tired by this time, but we were beaten by the better team. However we ended up with the bronze medal for 3rd position.

Team members:
James, Jack, Mark, Anthony and Zak.

Both teams performed fantastically well. 1,500 schools entered the competition. Both teams should be optimistic about their chances next season, three out of the four players in each time will be able to compete in the competition again.
